"I can’t say enough good things about Ultra Sharp and the incredible service I received from Ken. I had just gotten my shears back from the original company, (Hanzo) and to my disappointment, they came back dull and underperforming. As a professional barber, sharp and precise tools are everything — and that’s where Ken came in. Ken took my shears and brought them back to life! His attention to detail and craftsmanship were phenomenal. After his s..."

"I don't think I'll ever need to buy a knife again! Got like 10 old knives sharpened and they are like new. This is even a few months later. The price is easily less than half of buying all new knives, and it feels good to not be so wasteful."

Sage Knapp

"This sharpening service was amazing! He’s very responsive and I just popped over to his house and dropped off about 10 knives. He was able to sharpen all of them even the serrated ones and got them back to me same day. We had very old knives that he got as sharp as my expensive chef knife. I cannot recommend him enough!"

David Hernandez

"I bought beautiful gold scissors from Ken Golden while getting my shears sharpened he even gave me finger stoppers which I really appreciated. Ken’s Sharpening work is the absolute best and his pointers are always so helpful."

"Very nice stock of excellent knives and other bladed items and tools. Staff was knowledgeable and communicative and did an excellent job sharpening an expensive pocket knife. They made sure to follow the original factory bevel which many sharpening stores do not do. Definitely like the new ownership! UPDATE FEB 19, 2025. This store has a great selection of both used and new knives ranging the spectrum of price levels. Totally worth checking back..."

Miguel Lozano

"I have been a customer for over 20 years. This store used to always have great inventory, prices and customer service. I've caught the new employees in lies about products. They are not the only ones knowledgeable about knives. The inventory is mediocre at best. The last time I was in the store, it reeked of Marijuana. The employee was so high he tried showing me the same benchmade 3 times. Not remembering that he already showed it to me. Say ..."

Michael King

"Went to get knives sharpened because I wasn't happy with my results on a diamond stone. He has a professional grinder with an angle guard, so you're going to get a good "sharpening." However, he won't strop the burr off for you. If he did that, I'd leave a 5-star review. If you don't know what I'm talking about, google it. Stropping doesn't take much skill, so I did it at home to finish the job, and I'm happy with the results."

Sean Mitchell

"Had been looking for a place to get my swords sharpened since most people have a blade length limit on sharpening and came across this place. So glad I did and even tho it’s nearly half an hour away I still am a regular customer because every visit has been excellent and a fair price. I’ve had anything from pocket knives to axes to swords sharpened and everytime I leave with razor sharp edges!"

"LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Tony and his knife-sharpening services! I have been looking for someone to do quality work on my knives and I will not go anywhere else. Tony is very knowledgeable, gives consistent, quality service and he is extremely dependable. Due to the amount of cooking in my household (numerous food allergies) we do a lot of canning which means a lot of prep work with all of our knives. My knives are borderline professional grade and ..."

"We had all the knives for Dedicated, Gluten Free Bakery & Coffee Shop sharpened by Sharpen Sweet and we could not be happier. The price was fair for the service, and it was handled quickly and professionally without all the usual back and forth and scheduling that sometimes happen. As a professional kitchen we have to keep our knives sharp for safety and efficiency and we only have the highest praise for Sharpen Sweet"

Renée Rene

"Tony repaired a knife that is dear to me. The knife was dented and Tony assured me that he could fix it. After I picked my knife up I was really surprised how well it came out. It was sharper than when I bought it. THANK YOU TONY!!! I would recommend Tony for any knife repair and sharpening needs."

Cristi Santiago

"Tony did a great job with our knives! Not knowing much about knives myself, Tony took time to explain to me the conditions of the knives and what he would do. His turn around time was quick and the knives returned sharp and ready to use! Need knives or scissors sharpened? Contact Tony ASAP!"

"Whoever is the man representing cutting edge at the gun shows is very unprofessional and you should hire someone who actually knows his knives and swords and if he does not know , should maybe open his ears and listen instead of being so high and mighty. That man is selling stainless steel wall hangers telling people they are real katanas . Do not trust him. If you show him a real sword he will get angry discredit it and tell you to leave . But i..."

"So I bought the Nazgûl broadsword with the scabbard and I noticed that the belt system doesn’t even make sense or work in any positions I’ve tried on. Everything is completely wrong to how it should have been made and one of the buttons snapped off as I picked it up. Now I have to go make a custom belt just to wear it. If you’re going to charge for an actual sword make sure it’s functional to put on or don’t add a belt system so people don’t expe..."

"I was at the Tucson gun show today and ran into the Cutting Edge guy selling knives. I showed him mine and asked if he had tools to help tighten the belt clip on the knife. He was able to help me and while he was he complimented the knife and recognized that it was an original style designed and created by some individual (can't recall the name.) He said I should stop by the Cutting Edge store at the at the Tucson mall where they will sharpen my ..."

"Im a little confused by some of the reviews here. My girlfriend and I had a great experience. She was in the market for her first Katana and the owner was very helpful. He showed us many different swords at different price points and was able to answer every question we had. He was patient with us and made sure she got the sword she wanted. He was also friendly and chatted with us for a while. My girlfriend loves her new sword and we are both hap..."
